The MEMEMIZER is a powerful 1.66GBs modification that replaces almost 3000 sounds for humorous ones from other games, films, videos, etc.
It is available for Classic and for all pre-Cataclysm clients (outdated version)

NPC Replies
NPCs will greet and farewell you with a flavourish quote
Wacky attack and wound emotes when fighting
Spell Sounds
Your spells will make a sweet cartoonish magic sound
Beautiful music from other games and films that fits the theme
More immersive, louder and detailed ambient noises
Improved Sounds
Check out the super-high-quality rain sound, with added thunder!
World Noises
Machines, vehicles, lampposts, footsteps...

Click on the big cool shiny title to download

It is uploaded to my Google Drive and it is constantly being updated. It is free and you do not need an account to download it. Once downloaded, unzip the folder and drop it into your WoW directory. I maximize the volume of all sounds so they all can be heard well, therefore they can be a bit annoying, specially in dungeons or PvP, so I recommend to lower the volume of the sound effects in-game!

It consists of a folder structure that imitates the original file path for the sounds. The game prioritizes user-created files over the original ones and plays them instead. It is a feature made by Blizzard themselves, therefore, it is NOT BANNABLE and safe to have on retail and private servers. Also, you do not need a backup of the original files, since you don't replace them. To remove the mod just delete or rename the folder <Sound>

There are bugs on pre-Cataclysm clients only:

If your game crashes whenever you click something: open the mod folder and search for 'interface', then delete all its containing WAVs. You can keep the subfolders.
In Vanilla you may notice that some sounds wont play when they should. Vanilla has a sound engine that only supports 12 sound channels (sources). This means that only 12 sounds can be played at the same time. There is a way to fix this issue, but the game crashes:

</console SoundSoftwareChannels 12 or 64 or 128>
</console SoundMaxHardwareChannels 12 or 64 or 128>
</console SoundMemoryCache 999 or lower>
restart the game

Please make it into a zip or rar and add a mirror link so it is easier to download. I don't fancy making an account with Microsoft.
